Lee, I've done some pretty extensive research on the 3rd Arkansas Regiment over the years, and I, too, hit a brick wall at Chickamauga. Colonel Manning, in his after-action report, stated that he had submitted a list of casualties, but that list was not included in the Official Records. I finally resorted to going through the Compiled Service Records, name by name, and came up with a reasonably accurate list, which I'll post below. I say "reasonably" accurate, because the names of several soldiers were dropped from the rolls after the battle, with no explanation as to why. I found a few of them in Georgia cemetery lists, having died of wounds in the weeks following the battle. It can be reasonably assumed that many, if not most, of the soldiers dropped from the rolls met the same fate, but without any documentation, I don't want to muddy up the historical waters with unsupported assumptions. Anyway, with that caveat, here's the list I put together --
