Now, Alan, if we had a Confederate version of the game it would take all your fun out of looking all this up for people like me! :-)

I suspected this ancestor did not actually serve, although I thought maybe the Conscription Act might have caught him up in the latter part of the war when it was lowered to 17. Just to answer your questions, details on his life are: Jesse Thomas Reaves, born 1846 in Camden Rt 2, Wilcox County; died 1909 at same. He married Elizabeth Frances Caldwell Henry on 11 Nov 1868, daughter of John Caldwell and mary Bowen. They had 6 children (three died at childbirth).

All good information to have and confirms for me that he did not serve. Thanks again to all.
