Chuck / David / Christopher --- I have been following your chats about the 31st Va. My upcoming book is about the Confederate Counterattack on Meade's assault at Fredericksburg December 13, 1862 . The 31st Va was part of Walker's counterattack that day (as was the 52nd - Christopher) I am still looking for primary resources. David, I know your g-g grandftaher Private William Warwick Woodall (Co G) was there in the action. Chuck - there seems to be two soldiers named Robert Godwin - One in Co K enlisted May 18, 1861 as was captured in May 12 1864 (as a Corporal) - The other in Co A seems to have been captured near Mine Run May 5, 1864.
