George and James,
My g-g-grandfather James Giles and his brother Reuben fought for the Confederacy. James would in fact fight for both sides. They had a sister, Juila Ann Giles. She would marry John Jackson Kirkland. Kirkland was a Lieutenant with the 3rd Tennennsse Mounted Infantry CSA. Kirkand did form a pro Confederate guerrilla band but as already stated would raid anyone he thought had crossed him.
