Mr. Spikes,

There was a S.J. Garren that was in Company A, 43rd Tennessee Infantry which was from Polk County, Tennessee. He enlisted on February 13, 1863 at the Hiwassee Mines and was present up through the Vicksburg parole. He was absent on a company muster roll for July & August 1863.
