Peter Kilgore. (Brother of the infamous Matt (Nat?) Kilgore from the book on the Free State of Jones) Mustered into Confederate service on May 12, 1862, Co. C, 7th Miss. Batt. at Quitman, Mississippi, by mustering officer 1st Lt. J. E. Welborn. He received $50.00 for enlisting for three years of the war. His muster reports have him absent in Quitman hospital sick on August 12, 1862 and again in Sept.-Oct. 1862; Nov.-Dec. 1862, sick ; Jan.-Feb. 1863, sick; June30-Oct. 1863, sick; Died November 26, 1863 in hospital.

Jefferson Jackson Bush: Served in Company C, 7th Mississippi Infantry, Battalion, CSA. "Renovators"
Madison Prescott Bush. Served in Company C, 7th Mississippi Infantry, Battalion, CSA. "Renovators". He became a private in the Seventh Mississippi infantry, in which he was promoted to the office of first sergeant, and he served under Major-General Terrill during the greater portion of his term in the ranks, having taken part in the siege of Vicksburg, in defending the city, and also having participated in numerous skirmishes and battles in Mississippi.
Elias Davis, was in Company K of the 8th Miss. (with Newt Knight), transferred to Company F, 7th Mississippi Battalion (the same as Newt Knight). Killed at the Battle of Corinth, 10/3/62.
