Re: Isaac H. Allen, 13th Mississippi

I know this is a very old thread but just hoping yall was still out there and could help verifying the 13th mississippi flag.
I am also a descendant of Isaac H Allen, I am interested in bringing my family to view the very flag that Isaac was charging the line with when he was wounded.
I have been in touch with the archival dept in jackson ms and they are willing to let us view the flag that they have which is the flag on the cover of Jess McLean's book as told by those that were there.
Does anyone know for sure that this would be the very flag?
The lady I spoke with said the flag they have was used from sept 1862 until appomattox.
Thank you for your help.
