He is found in Daviess County 1850 census age 5 in household of Charles and Didama Rowland family #351. He married a Mary Elizabeth Ray on May 6, 1869 in Ray County Missouri.

Alfred Rowland of Co L 6th Mo Cav is indexed as Alfred Rollin as well and is listed as being 36 at time of enlistment in Melville MO (Dade County MO) to Capt Kirby's Company, August 12 1862, Mustered out New Orleans, Aug 1 1865. The 1860 Dade County Census lists him as family 840, age 34, born Missouri with wife Maryann age 31 of Kentucky. Children are Margaret A age 12, Charles 9, Elizabeth 6, Louisa 3. Thus these are 2 different people...
