Hi Ellen,
Is syncronistic that I ran accross this thread while trying to find out more about Alfred Rowland. He is buried in Dade County, at Ball Mound (or Bald Mound) Cemetery. There is a Rowland section in the cemetery. I am curious if we are distant cousins or something. By chance are you related to Gay and Loyld Wilson from Bolivar? Or Cora Rowland? Cora lived from 1890 to 1989, I remember meeting her when I was very young in Bolivar. During that trip, my mom, who is Gay's cousin? and Cora's niece? took me to visit two other relatives. Homer and Hadley (Rowland I think). At that time met another very old lady. Homer and Hadley's Mom, or Aunt? I don't know. But Alfred Rowland was either her husband or father as I recall. If your related to Alfred, I have something you might be interested in.
