I've noticed that several different Greenwood family lines claim the William Greenwood who was with Quantrill. Edwards said he had become a "prosperous farmer in Vernon County", but there is no record of a man by that name ever living there. I think Edwards just threw up some smoke screens to help ex-guerrillas hide.
Was THE William Greenwood the one who was born 29 May 1844 in Indiana and died in Platte Co. 8 Feb. 1917?
