Thanks for that very helpful information. Thanks to both of you we now have what I would call circumstantial evidence that the Randall brothers and Hargrove were killed late in 1863 after at least October 9 when Shelby's passing column captured and paroled Terry Randall serving in the 5th PEMM at the time, but evidently before 1864. We will see if others can find more information that confirms this, but, conceivably, this may be all the family can ever get. The guerrilla war in Missouri was not well documented with solid evidence.

By the way, Terry Randall in the 5th would have been captured probably in Benton County October 9, because that is when Shelby's raiding force was riding northeast through there heading toward sparsely settled Morgan County and eventually Cooper County. Records show that Shelby confronted a Union force there and captured prisoners, which he paroled.
