Dean,
The flag of the Sabine Rebels is believed to still exist. Presented to the company by the "Ladies
of Annacoco" in Sept. 1861.
It was saved by Lieut. L. J. Nash and handed down
to his neice "Miss McNeely". Last seen publicly at a
funeral in 1936, it is believed to be in the possession of a J. D. Richardson, a retired police
officer of Houston who married into the family.
All attempts to contact Richardson or locate the flag
have failed to this point.
