CSA Postal Routes in the Indian Territory are interesting. The US Post Office Dept. administered the mail thru Arkansas and both before and after the war into the 1870s many IT towns have Arkansas postmarks

I am pleased to note that this map of CSA Postal Routes in IT (probably from 1861 until Ft. Smith was captured in 1863) clearly shows the route MG Sterling Price took from Evansville, AR to Flint Court House (Cherokee Nation), and the last leg of BG John B. Clark's Red River Route (in Texas) from Kiomatia thru Flintham's Tan Yard to Clarksville, TX, as my prior post on these routes showed.
