Only my son and myself are here at the house, we will be gone for months. This time it will not be a three or six month mission. Finally we are in for the long haul. President Obama has finally approved of doubling the forces, which is great. I was reading the Washington Post and twice this week, they had outposts in Afghanistan that were attacked and a few lives were lost. The first one happened last summer and I wonder how did it take that long to report that to the news?

Here I could have retired on October 19th, lol.

But I pledged to stay on till the war is over.
