... If you haven't noticed this thread has been an open discussion upon sharing possible theories, ideas and opinions.. Not a debate... Do you have something constructive to add to the discussion or just enjoy pee'ing in the pool.... I normally have always had high level of respect for your knowledge... Have also met you in person.... However this display being a bit abrasive and childish... while not contributing anything to the discussion.....Quite surprised and dismayed by it... I had thought you to be better than that....

Nothing contained thereof has been presented as "Fact"... I assume you have never had a though or suspicion of something... determined a possibility..."guess work" as you may call it... chased it down... then later down the road discovered additional evidence to substantiate your earlier thought?... or helped provide guidance it could be something else entirely coming to light... or does only solid Facts just drop in your lap first time, every time out of the gate?.... The troops positions, terrain descriptions and activities were gleaned from many collective accounts from the participants themselves.... Where they were, what they did, what they saw, who was left, right, fore and aft... who they encountered if known and when.... not exclusively from a single modern overlay map...

Most folks in academia habitually develop an idea or thought.... develop an hypothesis... which develops into a theory... facts if they even exist... tend to be uncovered if your lucky.. along the chase and research as more pieces of the puzzle are closely examined... In many cases in order to determine who it might be... one must also work to determine whom it isn't.. process of elimination if need be in absence of solid provenance, to narrow the chase... There have been many declarations upon flag identity tagged upon them in the past with far less credible evidence. Again.. this is only a discussion.. and sharing of ideas and hypothesis possibilities to further guide and focus additional research upon.... nothing more, nothing less...
