.. Agreed... Im not sure why or how it got changed to the 12th NC. nor what provided evidence may have been established (claimed) regarding it.

MOC tends to be odd sometimes in my experience and observations... Even when you provide multiple levels and more than sufficient historical evidence that a currently ID labeled flag is not as tagged..... They typically wont consider changing the ID unless you can equally identify who's flag is actually is it seems... You can prove who's it isn't, but maybe not who's it is... Hence wrong ID label incorrectly remains in place... In some past era's they appeared to have altered a flag ID without any collaborating proof or evidence at all, other than someone's theory or statement.... I generally heed caution upon reportedly identified MOC flags, particularly late war captures, taken only at face value and reference till conclusively proven otherwise. Just an opinion and observation...
