.. Will do.. DuBose is the initial evaluation since they were the far right of that line... Their line ended up nearly wrapped back on itself trying to make a defense with the flank attack they received... If the Federal Cavalry ventured over that hill from Marshalls Cross Road a short distance away... Dubose should be the most likely CS troops they first encountered... The Hillsman Farm battle lines roughly ran NW-SE.. Those at Marshall Cross roads a short distance away roughly were NE-SW... Kinda forming a loose "T" with a short distance between them... Wish I could post photos on here so it would make more sense.

The other identical "Mystery 12 Star" RD BF's that I had chased and did research on previously are contributed to the 26th Virginia and 1st Texas. Initial impression based on the research evidence suggests these flags were probably issued as replacements out of Richmond Depot approx. Oct-Nov 1864.
