The 17th/18th Texas flag was a Spring 1864 issue (replaced in the Fall by another flag with the circular moon since this flag was taken in the Atlanta Campaign) and the 6th/15th Texas was a Fall 1864 issue (which means their Spring 1864 issue was too shot up for the Fall campaign or they lost it in action). I forget when Cleburne took in this Texas brigade after everyone else refused to have them.

The AOT in 1864 had three Texas brigades. Sul Ross' cavalry brigade carried the 12 star Mobile Depot flags issued to them in October 1863 with unit designations and battle honors. Granbury's men carried the Spring 1864 Hardee/Cleburne flags with the rectilinear moon. Ector's Texans carried ANV/Richmond Depot 4th Wool Bunting flags secured, as Robert Maberry states in his book, when one of their officers was in Richmond in the Spring of 1864. The two NC regiments of the brigade carried Mobile Depot flags.
