I do apologize, Gregg, I did not know that much research was put into his book. I have just developed an attitude that working on the Union captured flags is much harder. As you and I and many other people on this board and in life, work on all or many battles. I believe that is much more difficult then working on one single battle. I was of the understanding that the Confederate flags captured at Pickett's charge are in the Official Records and/or Union regimental histories. We have found many of them, years ago, at the Library of Congress. It took us a year and half to read every single Union, Confederate, U.S.C.T, Brigade, Division, Corps and Army histories.

As I tell/type to people that 99% of Civil War historians do not live in Washington DC or the surrounding areas. Their book research is very limited, they don't have the time or luxury as we do, to really dig deeper then any humans have. We know the "Real" truth on the Civil War. We have found letters and a letter written by Abraham Lincoln that has never been published and never will be. Lincoln wrote who he blamed pressured him to start the Civil War.

If anyone is interested in Lincoln's letter, send me a PM. We have decided not to publish the letter, as 99% would not believe it.

Again Gregg, I do apologize, for my lack of knowledge on the hard research on the book. I thought it was easy and pictures were taken at Gettysburg and the MOC. I do stand corrected and as I will always type, "Feel free to correct me".
