I second Keith's appreciation for the link, especially for the data on two SC frocks. About 25 years ago, I was in my mother's home town, Cheraw SC, and was able to buy a 1-6th ambrotype, showing an SC officer, with a SC non-com, wearing their black/dark blue frocks. It was hidden behind a WW2 paper image of a US sailor, and only revealed when I got the cased image back to the motel room. What a neat find! With the data detailing the state frock coat, could these patriots have been from nearby Marion County? Alas, unidentified, we will never know.
