I am glad that it is part of your family. Dr. Pittman was elected the first County Judge of Randolph County, and later was a District Judge. He was quite active in Civil Projects, and was supportive of the newspapers. His Son, Erasmus had a daughter the called Nettie. There is a plaque at Pittman Ferry, and the Store he established at Supply is still there. It is not original building, but still on the original location. Any other information I find, I will be sure to let you know. You never know where Historical reaearch will lead you. The Ferry location is still Known, and a Marker is at the location. Pittman Ferry Road is a gravel road, the road is just a little ways from the Supply Store. The Occupation of Supply and the area by both Armies would have had an impact on your family. General Hardee had several thousand soldiers in the area, and the Arkansas Brigade was there with Shaver’s 7th Arkansas.
