RD,

Don't you find the 65 CS casualties a little hard to believe considering the Union only had so few? Same thing happened at Hurricane Creek skirmish in Saline County except at least one report lists a number captured, but the officer at the skirmish only lists 1 captured but 28 CSA supposedly killed while he only suffered 2 killed and handful wounded. Then the CS officer, COL Logan makes the claim that his wounded were summarily executed on the spot. A local woman who went to the battlefield right afterwards claimed the dead and dying were laying in heaps. Unfortunately there is no report filed in the OR's by COL Logan giving his losses. It was a force of 400 on about 400 or so, CS forces waiting in ambush. Any possibility of that or is it the usual inflation of enemy dead and wounded that both sides seemed to practice?
