I am writing to ask that you vote in favor of fully funding the budget of the Arkansas History Commission. This agency has an important roll in protecting our state archives and making them available for all of our citizens. If you were to tour the AHC on any given Saturday afternoon, you would find the Research Room crowded with Arkansans attempting to learn about the history of their state and their family. The AHC also houses the military service records of all former members of the Arkansas National Guard, preserving their legacy for future generations. While I agree with the need to cut spending and taxes, but this agency already operates at a very efficient level and provides a meaningful service to the public. I ask that you vote in favor of the Commission’s Budget. Thanks for your consideration.
