Donna, Thank you so much! They were my Grandmother's parents. I also think I found a link from Orange County, North Carolina, when some Ray Brothers moved to McNairy County, Tennessee in the 1840's. One of the
childen was named Joseph l. Ray. I think the McNairy link could be the strongest because that is what Grandma Lottie put down on her birth certificate. She did not have one so she had one filed in Nashville when she married my Grandfather. Do you think the records would show their parents' names on the marriage record? Thank you Donna!
