Thank you very much! I will pursue that lead. I do not know much about researching military ancestors. I seem to have inherited the bug and all of the paperwork from every side possible in
my family, so I know I will be researching more ancestors. My GGF was older when my Grandmother Lottie was born and I am thinking he may have collected a military pension of some sort. How would I be able to find out? Also, I am unfamiliar with the terrain of Arkansas and Tennessee, other than that it is mountainous. Are there any significant differences between western Tennessee and eastern Arkansas? I am thinking that eastern Arkansas is more mountainous than western Tennessee.
