Todd41st Roster does not include My AncestorTue Mar 27 09:22:04 2001 I have an Application for Pension For the Widow of John P. Cottles. It states that "served a Private in company B of the 41st Regiment Infantry Volunteers: That her husband died on the 15th day of July, 1862;".He is not listed in "41st Alabama Regimental Infantry" published by the National Archives in Washington, D.C. or any where else for that matter.Family tradition is that he died of the measles, not long after "being shipped off". Hayes Alton Lowe Jr.'s Short history of the 41st, talks of a germ that caused a great number of Deaths in the 41st. Could it be that my ancestor was hospitalized befor he made it to a muster roll, or what? Also I asume he died in Mufreesboro (because of the date) but how could I prove that? Also is there a chance to find a grave? Thanks for any help!ToddCottles Bill Morales, Tue Apr 17 15:06 41st Todd, Tue Apr 17 21:13 41st Alabama Bill Morales, Tue Apr 17 15:00 Re: 41st Roster does not include My Ancestor Wayne Adams, Tue Mar 27 17:15 Cottles Todd, Tue Mar 27 19:20 5th Ala.
