Thank you for your checking. I obtained my info from his wife's pension. She did obtain the pension from the state of Alabama. On the Application the company was written over again, it may have been D or E. The fact that he was 1) from Pickens Co., 2) Died of Measles July 15, and 3) the Pension stating the 41st. I am going to leave the 41st in my database for him... at least until something is found out.
Thank you also for the work on the 41st, I have a number of Cousins that fought in the 41st, and some died. Not related to Cottles, the one I can think of now is James Todd Dowdle. My first name Todd, is also a Family Name.
