Todd,
The archives in Montgomery has the original muster
rolls for the 41st Alabama. You may want to check
them. He may not have made it out of Tuscaloosa.
There was a good bit of (measles) around
the camps around Tuscaloosa at the time Cottles
would have been there. There is a record somewhere
or his wife could not have gotten a pension.
