Alan,
Thank you so much for your last post. This is the most information that I have ever found out from one single source other than: The History of Camp Beauregard, published by the Tilghman-Beauregard Sons of Confederate Veterans camp # 1460. It contains a large collection of letters from War Veterans to Mrs. Geo. T. Fuller who crusaded for a monument to be erected at this spot in the early 1900s. Most of the correspondance was from former members of the 22nd Mississippi Infantry. It has been the foundation of all of my studies on the Camp and South Western Graves County, Kentucky during the War.
I sincerely appreciate your time and effort in assisting me in finding out more. I would be very interested in finding out anything else on the others or anything else that pertains to the History of this Camp or anything on West KY/TN.
Agian, I can not express my graditude enough. Not much is known about this place at all. I believe that between the information that you have provided me, and other things that I have been able to discover I now have a better understanding of the old camp than I ever had. I will share this information (along with anything else that I might find) with others who have a common interest in Camp Beauregard's history.
Sincerely,
Daniel Allen Lonsway (Old Dan)
P.S. There is a monument. It was dedicated in 1920. If anyone would like a picture, please contact me.
