There is a Robert Seay listed as killed on July 1st, 1862 at Malvern, on Historical Data Systems database for the Lynchburg Light Artillery, with no other info. He's not mentioned in Robert Trout's "The Hoss", which includes a roster for "The Lynchburg Battery"

Have you tried the cemeteries in Lynchburg? They have have a large number of Confederate dead, and I can remember seeing several graves of Moorman's men (and I should have photos somewhere!) Another possibility might be Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. I do have a book that lists burials there, and I'll see if I can find it and check.

If I find anything else out, I'll let you know.
