Re: Fort Gregg - The Confederate Alamo

Do we have a date for the death of Colonel James H Duncan of Oxford, Mississippi.
Colonel Duncan was as you know, in command at Fort Gregg.
I am trying to find him on Find a Grave and simply too many James H Duncans around.
There was one around Port Gibson, do not know what happened to him.
John Holt Duncan was around Port Gibson, Mississipppi, and moved to Texas before the Civil War, Check him out on Find a Grave Memorial # 10706705. I repeat, very interesting man but not the commander at Fort Gregg.
I have found one prospect in Lee County Mississippi but am not sure.
And of course Find a Grave is not perfect, they claim ot have 142 million Graves, and is a wonderful tool, however, there are many gaps and laps and errors. They may simply have overlooked Colonel James H Duncan, or he may by lying in an Unknown & Unmakred Grave up there some where.
Regardless, this has been a very good discussion.
