I see the Harper's drawing in Cutrer's,"McCulloch" book showing the Lone Star flag over the Alamo.You would think the Harper's sketcher would most likely have erred in his depiction of the Texas flag.He also shows the dome on the building and allegorical figures on the front columns.I do not recollect when the dome was rebuilt.

I do note that McCulloch did have Knights of the Golden Circle among his volunteers.

Is interesting,although Colonel Lee arrived by stage from Fort Mason at 2:00 PM about six hours after the surrender,there are those that say had Lee been in command he would have resisted and the American Civil War might very well have commenced in San Antonio on February 16,1861 rather then two months later at Ft.Sumter.
