Re: Austin City Light Artillery Company

Check out the Austin History Center at 810 Guadalupe in downtown Austin. The center has a wealth of information on people and buildings in Austin, including photographs and the list of owners of various properties. Ask about their "House Building Files". Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. | Sunday, 12 noon-6 p.m

I checked the catalog and John Lawrence Buaas has a biography file at the History Center, so ask one of the librarians for the clippings file AND the photograph file. There is a marker on a building at 407 E. 6th that is labeled JL Buaas so I know they will have plenty of information. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Happy hunting. Ann
