Re: "Roster" Co. H, 19th SC Infantry

No, Alan, not right now, but it's on my 'to-do-someday' list. Thanks for the link.

My current project is a short composition on Joe Ashcraft of Co. H, 19th SC Inf., one of Manigault's regiments, for my Ashcraft Family Heritage Book. (not for publication)

While researching, I found it sad that nothing was on the Civil War sites about Company H. One thing led to another and I got interested in anything I could find.

A bit of info I picked up an hour or so ago that 'excited me' is that the 28th AL Infantry organized near here at Shelbyville AL was part of Manigault's Brigade and fought along side Uncle Joe.

By the way, do you know what was going on in Marietta GA on July 3, 1864? I know Johnston had pulled his troops from Kennesaw Mtn. during the night of July 2-3. Uncle Joe was captured on July 3rd at or near Marietta and I was trying to reason what could have been the circumstances of his having been taken prisoner.
