Re: A nice suprise this morning

Hello Herb, You WWII Veteran are a tough breed. My uncle was on the USS Oklahoma City in the Pacific during WWII and still cuts a quarter of a chord of wood per day and rides a balloon tire bicycle.

The offer still remains if you are so inclined. Hall County is next to Jackson County and I've spent a lot of time in Jefferson, Georgia.

Joe and I can pick both you and your wife up, about a 2 and one half drive to the concert and have you both back afterward and if you can't see Bobby you will be able to hear him.

In my opinion General Morgan made his escape from the Ohio Pen in November of 1863 by friends in Columbus, Ohio bribing the guard. Morgan would claim he escaped otherwise but in my opinion he was trying to protect his friends.

At least twenty of Morgan's men died at Chase and are buried at the Chase Cemetery.

Morgan's soldiers were dispersed to various prisons including Camp Morton, Camp Douglass, Fort Delaware and Camp Chase.
