"Those who do not know why, when, how we became a nation and have no idea who made it possible and what they decided would be the best rule of law to keep the nation afloat will never notice when that nation no longer exists." The current crop of "progressives" are trying to indoctrinate our children into automatons who will follow along like sheep. The worst thing Jimmy Carter ever did was to create the Department of Education. But of course he could not have done it without Congress' cooperation. The courts have held that Obama's shutting down of the Gulf oil undustry was beyond his power, and ordered him to lift the ban. He has ignored the court, and that's just one example. The Spreme Court held in favor of the Cherokee in their dispute with Georgia. Andrew Jackson, said the Court made the decision, the Court could enforce it. Hence the Trail of Tears. There are plenty of other examples of the Federal Government ignoring the law and the Constitution since Abraham Lincoln started the practice. We must take back local control of the schools, and parents must be involved. Join the PTA, and attend the meetings of it and the school board. We can change things, but it won't be easy. Stan
