Pam, that's just about the scariest thing I've heard in a really long time. I can't say I'm surprised and I don't think this is something that's entirely new, but it is, nonetheless, distressing.

The day after the last State of the Union address, my daughter asked an online friend of hers if he had watched it. This young man is about 23 and in college. He didn't even know what she mean by the State of the Union speech. I could name you a dozen other examples, but it all boils down to: these youngsters don't have a clue about government or history. And, frankly, I don't trust the school systems anymore ... not with big brother making the rules of how they're run.
