As a Bourg, I can tell you all that it's hardly ever transcribed right. Most census records show Boury and I came to searching as such to find my peope, so this Brung does not surprise me. Tons of Bourgs in Louisiana, common name there. My cousin, by marriage, Ron Skellie directed me here. And George Martin, I'm surely kin to you too! My grandmother, a Martin, married a Bourg.
