The Mississippi in the Civil War Message Board

Found the problem --

there are many.

Your ancestor is listed as J. j. McDannel in Co. F. 5th Mississippi. There is no record of him being wounded as I can tell, I am not sure what the cards read. There are only 5 cards in his file and cards 4 and 5 he is listed as McDaniels and McDonnell.

Card 4&5 shows him to be in Co. C, 2nd Miss. and was in the hospital in Richmond, Va.

Card 3 states he is in Co. F, 5th Miss. Aug. 31, 1863

Card 2 Co. F, 5th Mississippi----- Transfered from Co. A, 13 Miss.

It appeares that all of these man are all yours rolled into one.

He was a well traveled man.
