The son's name was William Sanford Fuller born abt. 1856. He had a half sister named Dora McCurdy born abt. 1862-1865. Both were born in MS (some census records say AR, but we believe MS). The story handed down was that William was working for a man on a farm who was very mean to him. He killed the man and fled on horseback with Dora to Arkansas. William married Mary Elizabeth "Johnnie" Stanley in April, 1886 in Wilmot, AR.
