George & Alan, I thank you both for your information. I do believe the F. M. Rembert we speak of was E. B. Rembert's father. The Remberts were from the Hazelhurst area and the old community of Gallatin, a few miles west of Hazelhurst. There are a number of Rembert & other family members buried near Gallatin and else where in
Copiah county.

Alan, concerning the difference between state and regular Confederate troops, are both considered as "CSA" veterans?

Also Alan, my thanks to you for posts, along with Mitchell, in 2006 answering my queries about Edwin B. Rembert. I spent this afternoon in Wesson with two cousins from the Rembert side of our family and its hard to describe the feelings and the pride we shared in gaining this understanding. This information had been lost to our generation.

Regards, Edwin Rea
