Forgive me folks, I'm a complete novice about these subjects and I'm looking for more information. The subject is a Remington pistol purported to be carried by a Dan Vaughan while riding with Quantrill. The provenance lists some of the major battles Vaughan was in.......including Lawrence, Wakefield Barn, and Centralia. This would imply he was with Anderson in the fall of 1864.

I am curious if this provenance rings true, and also some more information on the dispersion of partisans riding with Quantrill after his death.
