I was wondering if anybody had information on the 34th infantry division that shipped out of Ft. Humbug in 1944. My Grandfather was part of this unit, but the only information I have found was from a unit out of Illinois. I'm not sure if the unit number is a typo or what. His name was Amos J. Franklin, and I've been told that he fought in Bastogne during the Bulge. Any information would be helpful. He didn't talk about it too much when he was alive. Thanks in advance!
