Thank you, Clay, for responding to my post.

I would say that it is a definite possibility that the "camp" that G. H. Dennis was stationed at was Fort Humbug. I know there are records at the Shreve Memorial Library, the Broadmoor branch. I have seen the material. They show the lineage, but I don't believe anyone has shown the distinct breakdown of the units from inception to the present. There used to be a sign on Highway 71 and Stoner that said "Fort Humbug", but it was removed when the 1st Battalion 156 Armor Regiment was retired and a Scout Battalion replaced it.
