I'm reasonably sure they are the same. Looking at CMSRs and the pension application, I see they are both from Desoto Parish. (19th Inf, Co H, Desoto Creoles and the pension app for 2nd Cav lists Desoto Par as residence) Both are listed as "Daniel F Adams" (same spelling). The dates of enlistment do not conflict. Daniel left the 19th due to disability and died in the 2nd Cav from disease. It all seems to fit.

I looked in Powell Casey's book on forts and named camps in Louisiana. It lists a Camp Vincent but says it was occupied by Texas Cav and was on Bayou Lafourche not Teche as stated in the application. I suppose his is one of those nameless graves that will never be found.
