Thanks Danny. I'll look on the prisons message board. Also, I'll find my sources from the slave narratives and Parks' comments. Though Adair was with the prisoners from Locust Grove, I'm fairly certain he was not at Clarkson's encampment and was perhaps at home. There is an article on him in the Chronicles of OK, written by his niece long after his death (1951 -- he died in 1880) that says at the end of the war he was captured at his home by Pins and taken to Tahlequah but released when the war ended. This is not very believable to me -- the Pins would have killed him on the spot and there is no other record of his capture near the end of the war. I think it is confused family lore of his capture during the 1st Indian Expedition.
