Hi, my first post here! I believe (from speaking to Peter Luks) that the flag of the 11th Mississippi (issued after Antietam late 62, captured at Gettysburg 3rd July) was partially machine sewn. My understanding is that this was rare for the 3rd Bunting type, especially for this time period of manufacture (presumably mid/ late 62).
