... "Reversed-reverse"... I perfectly understood... I just hadnt personally viewed the reverse side of a Pa state issued flag canton & unit ID... so wasnt quite sure...

No disrespect taken... I naturally tend to be detail oriented.. sometimes to a fault.. flags uniforms, gear, whatever it is... Wanted to try to be as historically accurate as possible... once the paint hits the fabric... too late to correct it...lol..

Think I may have established a reasonable historical guess of what version the unit ID was on the 106th flag... Looked over and studied many other surviving flags on the PA archives... Noticed that majority of the unit ID lettering was fairly well centered on the red stripe rather consistantly on most. Then I happen to take note of the distance on that stripe from the edge of the canton to the first number of the unit ID... was a consistant patterned difference between the two main versions on those that the entire ID was readible... basicly short or long... shorter distance for those that had the longer unit ID "106th Penna Vols" v/s a noticable longer distance on the shorter ID "106th Reg PV". If this be a correct observation.. Then the 106th flag should have had the shorter unit ID version.
