That is the incident that I recall. The book for sale is a copy of Hardee's Tactics, That has the name

"Col T.P. Dockery, Lamartine Arkansas"

inscribed in the Front cover, and then on aother page, in different handwritting, it says

"This book captured =
at long View. ark
April the 5, 1864
by
Michael R. Tucker
Company E, 1st Ind - Cavalry
Camped at Pine
bluff, Arkansas"
