Re: Un-Marked Confederate Graves in NW Arkansas

John

In the book "Confederate Roll of Honor, Missouri" by Dr. Leslie Ander, West Central Missouri Genealogical Society and Library, Inc. Warrensburg, Missouri, 64093, 1989, Lt. Marion D. Burgher was part of the 3rd Missouri Infantry.

This book aslo indicates that Lt. Burgher died of his wounds, That he was taken prisoner of War on the field and was 'probably' buried on the field Mar. 22, 1862.

You may check the muster rolls of the 3rd Missouri Infantry for additional information, this information was supposedly compiled from the Missouri Adjuntant Generals Report after the War.

Hope This helps.
